Help us build a dog park for our furriest family members!
This summer, UMOM is raising funds to build a brand-new dog park at our family emergency homeless shelter to keep tails wagging and spirits high!
Thanks to a generous matching gift from The Brad and Ellen Soultz Foundation, your donation will be matched dollar-for-dollar up to $37,500!
UMOM is Arizona's largest family shelter and is proud to be an animal-friendly space. Our partnership with The Arizona Pet Project makes it safe and simple for families to stay together (including their beloved pets) when they enter shelter.
This summer, we’re raising funds to build a brand-new dog park at our family emergency homeless shelter to keep tails wagging and spirits high! Thanks to a generous matching gift from The Brad and Ellen Soultz Foundation, your donation will be matched dollar-for-dollar up to $37,500, doubling your impact.
Affectionately known as the Bark Park, this space will include:
• A pet-friendly water fountain to beat the heat
• Agility equipment for exercise and play
• A shaded awning to protect people and pets on warm summer days
At UMOM, we believe that pets are family. That’s why we work hard to help the entire family, including furry companions, stay together during times of transition.
Every donation, big or small, makes a real difference. By donating today, you can directly fund this project and other essential needs, ensuring all areas of our campus are safe for our children, families, and pets.

How UMOM kept LeCletha's
family together
LeCletha entered shelter in March of 2025 with her daughter and her two dogs after temporarily living in her car. She was grateful for a safe, stable place to sleep each night with her entire family. During her stay, UMOM provided the supportive services necessary to begin the process of rebuilding her life, and her beloved dogs received food and veterinary care through our partnership with Arizona Pet Project.
Now, she is living in a beautiful four-bedroom home with her family, enjoying her new lease on life. She was facing the difficult decision to break up her family, but here at UMOM, we believe that it is important to keep the entire family together.
Join us in our goal of building a new dog park so pets staying on campus can continue to grow and thrive alongside their families!
